Flexographic printing, also commonly referred to as flexographic printing, is a printing method that uses a flexographic plate to transfer ink through a mesh roller for printing. Flexographic printing generally uses photosensitive resin plates with a thickness of 1-5mm. Ink is divided into three categories: water-based ink, alcohol soluble ink, and UV ink. Due to the environmentally friendly nature of the ink used in flexographic printing, it has been widely used in food packaging printing with broad prospects. Flexographic printing belongs to the embossed printing type.

Flexographic printing, offset printing, gravure printing, and screen printing are the four most common printing methods in the world, each with its own characteristics and strengths. In countries with developed printing industries such as Europe and America, flexographic printing has developed rapidly, and packaging printing has shifted from gravure and offset printing to flexographic printing, with flexographic printing used in about 70% of packaging materials.
